Mangalore: Vintage beauties add charm to Republic Day

Mangalore, Jan 27, 2014 : A Vintage car and bike rally  organised by the Mangalore Motor Sports  Association in the city on Republic Day attracted the attention of many. The Yesteryear beauties that were spotted on the roads certainly made heads turn on and added charm to the Republic Day celebrations.

 

 

 

A s many as 51 vintage beauties including 13 cars and 38 two-wheelers participated in the rally. Some of the vehicles on display were the 1953 model Mercedes owned by Anil Soans, the 1959model Willy’s Jeep of Rajaneesh, the 1929 model Ford car,  the 1967 model Mercedes, the 1932 model Austin  7,  1954  Fiat Elegant, 1976 Suvega, 1968 Lamby and Rajdoot GTS.

 The  participants were presented with certificates of participation. The Mangalore Motor Sports Association led by Sumith Rao also plans to hold a motor rally and auto show  in the near future.
