Mangalore : Tree branch rolls over autorickshaw ; driver injured

Mangalore, Mar 19, 2014: The driver of an autorickshaw was injured when the branch of a huge tree fell over the vehicle near the Jyothi Circle in the city on March 18, Tuesday evening.

 

The mishap took place at around 6.30 am when the autorickshaw was heading towards Jyothi Circle from Bavutagudde. As the auto reached closer to the Vijaya Bank office, the dried up branch fell over it, badly mangling the vehicle. The driver  was injured in the mishap. The passengers were lucky enough to escape unhurt.

The Fire service personnel who rushed to the spot, vacated the tree branch from the road.
