Mangalore: State-level badminton tourney concludes

Mangalore, September 27: The valedictory of the state-level badminton tournament organized by the Karnataka State Badminton Association was held on September 26, Sunday. The event was marked by the spirit of true sportsmanship and high spirits.

 

 

 

A total of 13 teams from all over Karnataka participated in the event, which was held at the U. S. Mallya Indoor Stadium in Mangalore. DC V. Ponnuraj, in his valedictory address, said that winning or losing is not important in sport, but health competition is the only thing that matters.

President of the Sports Promoters’ Club Sadananda Shetty said that the association has done everything in its power to make the event a success. He lauded the excellent spirits of sportsmanship exhibited by the participating teams, which led to the success of the tournament.

President of Hind Mazdoor Sabha of DK Suresh Shetty, General Manager of Corporation Bank B. R. Bhat, and many other prominent people spoke on the occasion.
