Mangalore: Rotary Club organizes musical event to raise funds for cancer awareness

Mangalore, Nov 27, 2012 : The fund raiser musical event Gaata Rahe Mera Dil organized by the Rotary Club of Mangalore Sunrise and Rohan Corporation at Town Hall on Nov 26, Monday was a great success.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Renowned singers such as Shrikanth Kamath, Anitha, Ranjan Das, and Mohammed Haneef entertained the audience with popular numbers.

The proceeds will be donated to the cause of spreading cancer awareness among the public.

The dignitaries at the inauguration ceremony were Eric Ozario, Basti Vaman Shenoy, Dr. Ravichandra, and Raghunath Shet. Rotarian Dr. Shivashankar, Sadashiva Shetty, and Daijiworld Weekly editor Hemacharya were also present.

Speaking on the fund raiser, Dr. Shivashankar said that the funds generated will be utilized to spread cancer awareness among the public. He also revealed plans to hold camps and cancer help lines.

Popular numbers such as Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Gaata Rahe Mera Dil, Teri Pyari Pyari Surat Ko, Waada Karle Saajna, and others were presented on the occasion.

The MC of the event was Prem Kumar.
