Mangalore, Dec 7, 2012: An abandoned new born baby was found crying between two railway tracks at the Mangalore Central railway station on the morning of December 7, Friday.
The baby boy has been shifted to Ladygoschen Hospital. Its condition is said to be stable. The umbilical cord and the blood stained body of the baby revealed that it was abandoned soon after it was delivered.

The wailing baby was first noticed by a railway parcel unit employee Abdul Razak and he immediately informed the authorities at the station.
There is a suspicion that the mother of the baby might have fled in the Parashuram Express which left the station early in the morning, after abandoning the little one. Railway police are investigating the case
