Mangalore : Media men undergo heart, diabetes check-up

Mangalore, Dec 13, 2012: Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Union in association with Mangalore Press Club and Yenepoya Specialty Hospital organized a free heart and diabetes check up for the representatives of Media at Press Club on Dec 13, Thursday.

 

 

Speaking after inaugurating the camp, Dr Harish R Nayar, cardiologist, Yenepoya Specialty Hospital, said blood pressure, diabetes and heart problems have become common even in young people and the death rate due to these factors was also increasing.He advised youngsters to go in for regular health check-ups to avert such complications.

Press Club president Ramakrishna, Member Jagannath Shetty Bala and Dr Rahul were present on the dais.

DKWJU Secretary Srinivas Indaje welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.

A team of 8 to 10 doctors assisted in conducting the camp.
