Mangalore: MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar given warm farewell

Mangalore, June 1, 2013: MCC Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar  who  has been appointed Personal Secretary to Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake, was accorded a warm farewell on behalf of Mangalore City Corporation and SK Municipal Employees Union at the MCC Conference Hall on June 1, Saturday.

Srikanth, Joint Commissioner of MCC honoured Harish Kumar with a shawl, citation and memento on the occasion.

 

 

In his address, Srikanth was all praise for the  efficient style of functioning of Harish Kumar and added he had done his duties with integrity.  He also lauded the role of Harish Kumar in the development of Mangalore through various initiatives . Harish Kumar has also played a key role in reducing incidences of Malaria in Mangalore, Srikanth said.

Responding to the felicitation, Harish Kumar said though many in the MCC are unhappy over his transfer, as an government officer, it was his duty to accept any posting offered to him. He further  stated that during his tenure over 300 cases which were pending settlement since long, have been disposed. He also stated that he has the satisfaction of bringing down the Malaria cases in Mangalore which were high when he took charge.
