Mangalore : KKSV protests against Modi’s Bangalore rally

 Mangalore, Nov 16, 2013 : A protest was staged in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangalore on November 15, Friday  by the Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike opposing the Bangalore rally of Gujarat CM and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on November 17.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhoomi Gowda, lecturer alleged that the BJP was cleverly using Hindutva to lure the voters. Clarifying that the Vedike did not identify itself with any political party, he said it was against Modi just because he was a fascist. 


Pointing out at the fact that India was a peace loving country, Gowda said  now an element  of fear has crept in. Banner’s projecting Modi also has images of lion and tiger and this is nothing but an effort to instill fear, he said.


Ali Hasan of Central Muslim Committee, Mangalore said progressive thinkers do not want a communal leader to lead the country. He also took exception to the several Modi banners seen in various parts of the district.

Komu Sauharda Vedike’s District President Suresh Bhat Bakrabail who also spoke, refuted the BJP’s claims that Gujarat  has developed and added that  propaganda of development model of Gujarat only intended at fooling the people.
