Mangalore : ID cards distributed to autorickshaw drivers

Mangalore, Nov 4, 2013 : Subramaniam, Assistant Commissioner of Police has   said that  autorickshaw drivers will adhere to traffic rules completely provided they are imparted adequate training.

Speaking after inaugurating a programme of distributing identity cards to autorickshaw drivers on behalf of the Dakshina Kannada District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Association  in the city, he had a word of praise for autorickshaw drivers in the city when  he  said  that  nearly 75 per cent of them adhere to traffic rules.

As many as 50 autorickshaw drivers were distributed ID cards on the occasion.B Vishnumurthy, President of the Association, presided over the function.

Uday Nayak, Assistant Police Commissioner, Transport Department and actor Karthik Attavar were present on the occasion.
