
Mangalore, Dec 2, 2012: Over 1500 enthusiastic people of all ages took part in the sixth edition of the RXlife Cycle rally which was flagged off from Ladyhill Circle on December 2, Sunday morning. The rally covered a distance of 20 kms and aimed at providing an opportunity to the youngsters to evince interest in cycling.










It also aimed at sensitizing the youngsters to the fact that cycling can be a green alternative for short distance travelling. The Rally also intended to develop an interest in outdoor activities among children. The rally passed through Kottara-Panambur-NMPT and concluded at Bejai-Kapikad school.
The first edition of the RXlife Cycle Rally six years ago saw 240 cyclists, and the number gradually increased, with over 1400 cyclists participating last year. This year, the total number of participants stood at 1800. The minimum entry age for this rally was 10 years.
The organizers had made enough arrangements including water points; while fruits and dry fruits were also made available to the participants. There was also a cycle rescue van and also an ambulance.
