Mangalore : House damaged as concrete retention wall collapses at Bajjodi

Mangalore, June 11, 2013 : A house at Bajjodi here suffered  damage after the retention wall of  the nearby compound collapsed over it on June 10, Monday.

The house belongs to Maria Cutinha. It is learnt, the house was renovated and extended  by adding  three more rooms just 18 months ago and the extended portion  including the  dining room, bed room and kitchen have been now completely damaged. Maria Cutinha  has sustained minor injuries as she who was watching TV in the hall had rushed to the kitchen on hearing the loud thud.

 

 

Even another house behind, owned by  Leena Pinto which is in an elevated area, is in danger due to the collapse of the concrete retention wall.

The Kankanady Rural Police have visited the spot. Even the local corporator Keshav who visited the house assured help.
