
Mangalore, Dec 7, 2012: The grand finale of the 150th anniversary celebration of CSI Shanthi Cathedral, Balmatta, will be held at the Cathedral grounds on Dec 9, Sunday at 5.30 pm.
Informing this to reporters at Press Club on Dec 7, Friday, Dr EVS Maben, Vice President of the Committee said that Rt. Rev. Dr John S Sadananda, Bishop, CSI, Karnataka Southern Diocese will preside over the event, while Lalrokhuma Pachau, Director General and Inspector General of Police will be the chief guest.

Most Rev G Devakadasham, Moderator, Church of South India, N Yogish Bhat,Deputy Speaker, Rt. Rev Msgr Dennis M Prabhu, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese, Gulzar Banu, city Mayor, UT Khader, MLA, Naveen D’Souza, Corporator, Rev. Devakumar KP, Karnataka Southern Diocese Vice President, V Isaac Vijayashekhar, Secretary, Udayaraj Kaunds, Treasurer and Rev. Winnifred Amanna, Area Chairman, Dakshina Kannada KSD will be the guest of honour.
As the part of 150th anniversary celebration, the Cathedral will hold thanksgiving worship service at 8.30 am. Most Rev G Devakadasham, Moderator, Church of South India and Rt Rev Dr John S Sadananda, Bishop, CSI, Karnataka Southern Diocese will lead the divine worship and will deliver the Post Centenary Golden Jubilee Messages on the occasion.
Committee Presidents Rev Edward S Karkada, Rev Daniel Kaundinya and Secretary Dr Charles V Furtado were present at the press meet.
