Mangalore: Fire destroys scrap shop at Thokkottu

Mangalore, Dec 1, 2012 : A scrap shop located near the check post at Thokkottu was gutted in a fire mishap that took place on the night of November 30, Friday. The loss has been estimated at Rs 5 lakhs. A hardware shop located nearby also incurred some losses due to the fire.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sources said the fire broke out at around 11.45 pm. Though the exact cause of the fire is not yet known, a short circuit is said to have caused the mishap. The fire service personnel along with locals extinguished the fire.

Ullal police have registered a case.
