Mangalore : Cops conduct surprise raid on District Prison

Mangalore, Oct 3, 2013 : There was a surprise raid on the  District Prison in Mangalore on October 2, Wednesday by a police team led by Kavitha BT, ACP(Central). Sources said the team recovered a cigarette lighter.

It is learnt, the raid was carried out at the directions of Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar.  Bunder and Barke cops were part of the raiding team.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner said it was a routine check.
