Mangalore: Agonised by father’s reprimand, X Std boy ends life

Mangalore, Feb 5, 2014 :  In a shocking incident, a teenager studying in tenth standard at Lourdes School in the city, has allegedly committed suicide  at his house  at Pinto’s Lane in the city.

The deceased is Nihal Shetty. According  to sources, Nihal chose the extreme step after being reprimanded by his father  for not concentrating on studies even as exams were nearing.

Nihal was the son of Naveen Shetty and Poornima couple. He allegedly hanged himself when his parents  had been to  a temple. Nihal is survived by a younger brother.

Kadri police have registered a case.
