Man stabs head constable in city’s Dubai market

Mangaluru, Feb 22, 2022: Head constable Vinod attached to the North police station sustained stab injuries when he was attacked by a man at Dubai Market in Central Market area on February 21.

 

It is learnt the accused who hailed from Kasargod had come to the place to sell an expensive watch. Meanwhile shopkeepers who suspected that it might be a stolen watch had informed the police. Police men had rushed to the place and just as head constable tried to catch hold of the man, he stabbed the former with a sharp weapon and escaped.

The head constable has been hospitalised and is  out of danger. Search for the accused is underway.
