Man loses Rs 99,860 to online fraudster

Mangaluru, Jan 13, 2023: A person from the city has lodged a complaint at the CEN police station stating that he had lost Rs 99,860 to an online fraud.

 

According to the complainant, he had booked a ticket through Yatra.com website on January 8 by paying Rs 6,380. However, when he did not get the  ticket, he had contacted the company and a person who spoke to him asked the last six digits of his account number and promised a refund.

As soon as the number was provided the person had lost Rs 99,860 from his bank account on January 11.
