Man ends life by jumping off Netravathi bridge

Uppinangady, April 08, 2022: A 31 year old man jumped off the Netravathi bridge into the river and committed suicide on April 7, Thursday evening.

 

The deceased is Bharamappa who hailed from Gadag district. He was a labourer and was residing in a rented house with his family at Moodadka in Tekkar village. It is learnt, he was an alcoholic and  had even attended a de-addiction camp.

His family said he ended his life after leaving home saying he was going to work. His wife Geetha has lodged a complaint with Uppinangady Police.
