Man drowns in pond near Talapady

Mangaluru, Aug 29, 2023: A man who stepped into a pond along with his friends for a bath, drowned in an incident reported from near Talapady on August 28, Monday.

 

The deceased is Hariprasad Acharya (36) from Hosangady Durgipalla in Kerala. Hariprasad along with three others had entered the pond along with his friends when he got caught under the slush and suffocated to death.

Fire service personnel who rushed to the spot, retrieved the body. The deceased Acharya was a welder by profession.
