Man dies after falling from areca nut tree

Hebri, June 18, 2024: An accidental fall from an areca nut tree resulted in the death of a man in Sallabi Devaragundi, Kabbinakale village, on June 17.

The deceased has been identified as Vasu (59). He was engaged in agricultural labor, spraying pesticide on areca nut trees. While working in Gopal’s areca nut plantation in Devaragundi, he had climbed a tree and was seated on a support rope to spray the pesticide.

During this task, he accidentally slipped and fell from the tree due to high blood pressure, leading to his death. A case has been registered at the Hebri police station regarding this incident.
