Man Dies of Electrocution While Plucking Coconuts in Bantwal

Bantwal, Nov 2, 2025: A 37-year-old man lost his life after being electrocuted while plucking coconuts at Alike village near Vittal on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ismail, son of Ibrahim Ustad, a resident of Alike village.

According to sources, the incident occurred when Ismail was using an aluminium pipe to pluck coconuts, which accidentally came into contact with a live electric wire. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Ismail is survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son.
