Malpe: Ganja worth Rs 8,000 recovered from accident-hit car; two booked

Malpe, March 30, 2026: Ganja was found in a vehicle involved in an accident near the Sri Nagabrahma Bobbarya Daivasthana on the Hoode–Kodibengre road on March 28.

During the spot inspection, Malpe police examined the accident-damaged car and recovered 173.42 grams of ganja worth ₹8,000. Two mobile phones found in the car were also seized.

The accused, identified as Faizal and another person, are alleged to have been illegally possessing the narcotic substance with intent to sell. A case has been registered at Malpe Police Station.
