Major burglary in soap distributors’ firm at Kallaup near Thokkottu

Mangalore, Oct 12, 2013 : In yet another major burglary, this time in a soap distributors firm at Kallaup, thieves have decamped with a cash of Rs 9.24 lakhs on October 10, Thursday  night.

 

 

 

Thieves who gained entry into the Marcon Overseas Company, wholesale distributors of Hindustan Unilever Soap products  at  Kallaup by cutting open the window net, have robbed the cash accrued out of sales of soap, which was kept in the cupboard. They even decamped with the CCTV camera, hard disk , server and punching machine for staff attendance.

The  firm authorities are distraught following the theft as the firm had already incurred losses during monsoons due to gushing in of rain water.

A canine squad and finger print experts have been pressed into service.
