MR Vasudeva elected President of Mangalore Management Association

Mangalore, Nov 8, 2013: Marpalli Ramayya Vasudeva, former director of Mangalore international airport has been elected as the president of Mangalore Management Association (MMA).

M R Vasudeva holds a Masters degree in Statistics Business Management and Personnel Management.

Presently, he serves as director of Srinivas group of educational institutions. Vasudev was responsible for the modernization of the airport and introduction of direct international flights to Mangalore.

During his tenure, he was successful in introducing second runway, taxiway, security facilities, beautification of airport surroundings, housing for airport employees, ISO 9001 certification, best fire-fighter award for airport and many others. The declaration of Mangalore as an international airport in 2012 was another achievement in his credit.

He has also bagged the Outstanding Manager award from the MMA in 2012.

Other office-bearers are Prof J H G Anchan - vice president, R Lohidas - secretary, K Ramesh Rao - joint secretary, Edward J Coelho - treasurer.
