MLA honours Puttur boy who returned golden ring found in food kit

Puttur, April 16, 2020:  Hukas, a twelve year old boy from Karmala on the outskirts of Puttur town has won the praise of all for his  honesty by returning  to the rightful owner a golden ring which he found in a food kit distributed through the MLA’s war room.

A food kit provided by the Puttur Buntara Sangha  was handed over to  Hukas’s father Haneef a week ago through the MLA’s war room. The boy who had opened the food kit found the golden ring in it. It was that of a person who had packed the food. The ring  had  accidentally slipped off his finger and landed in the food kit.

The matter was immediately  brought to the notice of Councillor Premalatha Nandila and the owner of the ring Ramachandra Ghate was traced and  the ring was handed over to him.

Puttur MLA  visited the residence of Hukas on knowing about the incident. He honoured the boy and also gifted him a food kit.
