MLA Vedavyas Kamath suggests installation of CCTV camera on Netravathi bridge

Mangaluru, Aug 02, 2019: Mangaluru South MLA  D Vedavyas Kamath has said that he would  speak to the Deputy Commissioner on the need to have a CCTV Camera installed on the Netravathi Bridge.

Pointing out at several instances of  people jumping off the bridge to end lives, the  MLA said in such a case, a CCTV camera  would help the police to immediately  gather details and swing into action.

The suggestion of the MLA  came in the backdrop of the recent instance of the  Cafe Coffee Day Founder V G Siddhartha   going missing on the Netravathi Bridge, and the subsequent tracing of his body on the river banks at Hoigebazar.
