MLA Bava visits Meenakaliya; sore over unscientific way ofdumping boulders

Mangalore, July 15, 2014:  Mangalore North MLA BA Moidin Bava who  visited the sea erosion affected areas  at Meenakaliya in Baikampady on July 14, Monday, expressed his displeasure over the contractors  on noticing that the boulders dumped to prevent erosion, have landed in the sea.

 

He said the unscientific way in which boulders were dumped was the reason for the problem. Officials as well as contractors present on the occasion tried to clarify that they had  dumped boulders just as a precautionary measure to prevent the problem from worsening though it was not possible to dump boulders in a scientific manner.

Raghuveer Panambur, local corporator, Harish Baikampady and port officials were present.
