MCC team seals 15 shops in Singapore City and City Centre

Mangalore, June 18, 2012: The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) raided several shops in City Centre Mall and Singapore City on June 18, Monday. They sealed 15 shops and fast food outlets because their owners did not have the proper trade license.


The MCC team, comprising health and revenue officials, examined the documents and checked the standards of hygiene in the fast food outlets.

Some of the shops sealed were Pensive, Paris Garden, Fish Spa, and M. G. Café, to mention just a few. The civic body has directed the owners of the sealed shops to apply for a trade license and then operate their business. 


Several shop owners pulled down the shutters and vacated the place when they heard that the civic body was about to launch another raid. 


The team comprised six officers, who split into groups of two to simultaneously raid several shops.
