MCC embarks on roadside petty shops eviction drive near State Bank bus terminus

Mangaluru, Dec 23, 2021: Several petty shops which had encroached the road near the State Bank bus terminus area in the city were evicted by the City Corporation in an operation launched on December 23, Thursday.

A meeting of the Mangaluru City Corporation held on Wednesday under the leadership of Mayor Premananda Shetty had decided to embark on the eviction drive in the wake of complaints from  the public against roadside vendors who have encroached footpaths and roads.

The meeting had also decided to seek police help during the eviction drive.
