MCC Bank Opens 22nd Branch, ATM at Deralakatte

Mangaluru, June 28, 2026: MCC Bank Ltd inaugurated its 22nd branch and a new ATM at Deralakatte on Sunday, marking 114 years of service since its establishment in 1912. The branch is located on the ground floor of the Fr Muller Complex.

MCC Bank Chairman and Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo inaugurated the branch, while Fr Nilesh Crasta, Administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic College, inaugurated the ATM. Sr Milli Fernandes, Superior General of the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, inaugurated the safe room, and Fr Nelson Deeraj Pais launched the Bank’s e-stamp facility. The new premises were blessed by Fr Victor D’Mello, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Panir.

Presiding over the function, Chairman Anil Lobo reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to cooperative banking and customer-centric services. He said MCC Bank has earned public confidence by adhering to RBI guidelines and assured customers that eligible deposits are protected under the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC).

Highlighting the Bank’s growth, Lobo said five new branches had been opened under the present management, each achieving a business turnover of over ₹10 crore within its first year. He added that the Bank plans further expansion and expressed confidence that Deralakatte, with its educational institutions, hospitals and IT establishments, offers significant growth potential.

Chief guest Sr Milli Fernandes described the new branch as another milestone in MCC Bank’s growth journey and lauded its role in supporting families, businesses and the local economy through its banking services.

Fr Victor D’Mello called upon the Bank staff to serve every customer with dignity and compassion, stating that "serving people is serving God." Fr Nilesh Crasta said both Father Muller Charitable Institutions and MCC Bank shared a legacy of service and trust and expressed confidence that the Bank would contribute to the region’s economic development.

As part of its community outreach, MCC Bank honoured academic achievers and felicitated Franky Francis Cutinha, Alwyn Jerome D’Souza, Fayaz Madoor, CA Maxim Fernandes, Uggappa Poojary and Shafi Babbukatte for their accomplishments in various fields.

The Bank also extended financial assistance of ₹1 lakh to the Ursuline Sisters’ Special School for Differently Abled Children, ₹1 lakh to Olavinahalli Ashram, ₹50,000 to Mercy Care Charitable Trust, and ₹25,000 towards the education of Princita D’Souza.

Vice Chairman Jerald Jude D’Silva, General Manager Sunil Menezes, directors, professional directors and other dignitaries were present. Roshan D’Souza welcomed the gathering, Shainy Veebha D’Souza compered the programme, and Branch Manager Juliet D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
