An eclipse occurs when the moon passes behind the earth and blocks the rays of the sun from reaching it. Fortunately, the clear skies and the great weather enabled people to watch the eclipse with ease. When a similar eclipse occurred in June, people were unable to watch it because of the monsoons.

A large number of enthusiastic people visited St. Agnes College and Poornaprajna College to view the phenomenon.
