Lt. Col. Harjinder Singh who died in chopper crash was married to Karkala woman

Udupi, Dec 09, 2021: Lt. Col. Harjinder Singh who died in the helicopter crash along with Chief of Defence  Staff Bipin Rawat at Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on December 8, Thursday, has links with Karkala.

 

Lt.  Col. Harjinder Singh was the son-in-law of late Felix Menezes and Mary Menezes of Salmara in Karkala. He was married to the couple’s daughter  Lt. Agnes Prafulla Menezes.

Agnes Prafulla too has served the Indian Army and the two fell in love and got married. The couple has a child. Singh had  visited Karkala  four years ago.
