
Udupi, Mar 14, 2026: Lokayukta police have conducted raids at the residence and related properties of Excise Department District Officer T.M. Srinivas in connection with allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. During the operation, officials reportedly unearthed illegal assets worth ₹8.69 crore.

A case had been registered at the Karnataka Lokayukta Police Station in Udupi against the government officer for allegedly amassing wealth beyond his legitimate income. Based on this, Lokayukta officials carried out simultaneous searches on March 11 at 15 locations linked to the accused, including his residence, office premises, and houses of relatives.
During the raids, officials found 11 sites, six residential houses, and 31 acres of agricultural land, together valued at ₹6,90,64,716 as immovable assets. In addition, movable assets worth ₹2,66,90,001 were also seized, including ₹3,95,941 in cash, gold jewellery worth ₹1,47,50,506, vehicles worth ₹17,00,000, bank deposits of ₹25,75,000, and other valuables worth ₹72,68,554.
In total, assets worth ₹8,69,23,435 were discovered during the raids, according to Lokayukta police.
