Lokayukta raid on Food& Civil Supplies Dept officer’s residence in city

Mangalore, Jan29, 2014 : There have been Lokayukta raids on the residences of two government officials in Mangalore and Uppinangady as part of the simultaneous raids launched by the Lokayukta sleuths at various parts of the state on January 29, Wednesday

Sources reveal that the residence of Rajan Nambiar, Depot Manager of Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Department, located at Yeyyadi  is raided. Even the  Food Department godown at Shaktinagar has been targeted.  It has been reliably gathered that  there were several complaints against Nambiar. The raids are led by Lokayukta DySP Umesh Shet.

 There is information that the residence of a Revenue officer in Uppinangady too has been raided. More details are awaited.
