Locals pull up bus conductor for deboarding girl students without Aadhaar cards

Mangaluru, Aug 25, 2023: An incident wherein locals stopped a bus and took its conductor to task  took place at Kumpala after public came to know that the driver of the NURM bus had made five school girls deboard the bus for the sole reason that they did not have Aadhaar cards with them. It is learnt the conductor Hussain Saab Hallura had asked the girl students to pay for the ticket as they did not have Aadhaar cards with them and had even deboarded the girls studying in second and third standards at the Kumpala Government School when they were returning home in the evening on August 24, Thursday.

As the regular conductor of the bus never asked for Aadhaar cards, the girls had not brought the Aadhaar cards with them. However, on Thursday, Hussain Saab was a replacement to the conductor who was on leave. The school headmistress who was in the bus had noticed the conductor’s behavior and later the locals stopped the bus and took the conductor to task.
