Like Minded associations urge arrest of Dabholkar murders

Mangalore, Aug 27, 2013: The members of Like-minded associations protested in front of DC Office against the murder of rationalist Dr. Narendra Dabholkar, on August 27, Monday.

Addressing the protesters, P B D’Sa of People’s Union for Civil Liberties said that even though the miscreants killed Dr Narendra Dabholkar near police outpost, the police officials failed to arrest the murderers. 


He also that Dabholkar was mainly responsible to pressurize Maharashtra government to pass Maharashtra Eradication of Blind Faith Bill as a law. Due to this he was facing threat to life from past few years. This is a planned murder, he said.


Prof Narendra Nayak of Dakshina Kannada Rationalist Association urged police department to arrest the murderers immediately. There is need for Eradication of Blind Faith Bill as a law in Karnataka in order to develop scientific temper.
