Landslide continue for the second day in Mangalore- Hassan Railway Line: All trains cancelled

Mangalore, July 28: Landslide continue for the second day due to heavy rain in  Mangalore - Hassan Railway line between Donikallu and Kodaginahalli disrupting traffic in this route since Friday, July 27.

All trains in this route have been cancelled for the time being.  The railway authorities have been working since yesterday to clear the mud and stone fallen on the track due to landslide thursday night. All traffic in this route have suspend for the second day.

The authorities have informed that the Railway line will be cleared for traffic from tomorrow if the landslide stops. However, if the rain continue as of today, it will not be possible for traffic.

It may be recalled that this has been happening ever since the railway line was commissioned. This is a common phenomena during the monsoon season both in Mangalore- Hassan railway and Konkan Railway line.
