According to Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer, South Western Railway, Hubballi, restoration work is in progress at the landslide-hit stretch, where continuous heavy rainfall has triggered repeated landslips. Additional earthmoving equipment and other resources have been mobilised to speed up the restoration process.

Railway officials are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating efforts to ensure the safe resumption of train services. However, restoration is expected to take longer than initially anticipated due to recurring landslides caused by incessant rain.
