
Mangaluru, Sept. 14, 2026: The new residential complex ‘Laxmi Govind’, developed by Land Trades Builders and Developers, was inaugurated in Kadri here on Sunday.
Mangaluru MLA Vedavyas Kamath, who inaugurated the project, praised Land Trades proprietor K. Shrinath Hebbar for developing the residential complex in a pleasant environment.


Kamath said Hebbar had undertaken several residential projects in different parts of Mangaluru and had earned a reputation for quality construction. He added that residents who had purchased homes in Land Trades projects were satisfied with the quality of the apartments.
He said Mangaluru was emerging as a major centre of urban development after Bengaluru and noted that entrepreneurs had played an important role in the city’s growth. The Mangaluru City Corporation had also introduced regulations supportive of urban development, he added.
Former mayors M. Shashidhar Hegde and Bhaskar K., former deputy mayor Lancelot Pinto, former corporators Manohar Shetty and Ashok D.K., CA Satish Kamath and Vidya Kamath, the landowners of the project, were among those present. Shrinath Hebbar felicitated the distinguished guests, while Mahesh Nayak compered the programme.
Modern amenities
The Vastu-based ‘Laxmi Govind’ complex features a range of amenities, including lifts, secure ground-floor parking, a community hall on the rooftop, 24-hour CCTV surveillance and intercom connectivity.
The project also has 100% DG power backup, reticulated gas connectivity, solar power and rainwater harvesting facilities.
Located along Alvares Road in Kadri, the complex is close to educational institutions, places of worship, markets and public transport facilities.
Land Trades was established by K. Shrinath Hebbar on October 28, 1992. The company has obtained ISO certification and a CRISIL ‘DA2’ rating. It has completed 45 projects covering around 46 lakh sq. ft. and has more than 4,000 customers, according to the company.
25 apartments
The ‘Laxmi Govind’ project was developed on 27 cents of land and comprises 25 apartments in 2 BHK and 3 BHK configurations.
Construction of the ground-plus-five-storey building began with the Bhoomi Pooja on October 16, 2024, and was completed within two years, according to the company.
