Labourer suffocates to death while cleaning well

Udupi, May 09, 2024: A labourer who had entered a well for cleaning purpose, has reportedly died due to suffocation at Devadigara Bettu  in Brahmavar on Wednesday evening. Another worker who too had entered the well has been rescued by fire service personnel.

 

The deceased is Durgesh (34). Adiveppa Kuri (50) was rescued. Both hailed form Koppala district.

They had entered the 35 feet deep well for cleaning and had sprinkled bleaching powder inside the well when all of a sudden they suffocated due to lack of oxygen.

Brahmavar police have registered a case.
