LPG tanker mishap : Death toll rises to 9

Mangalore, April 12, 2013 : The total number of lives lost in the recent LPG tanker tragedy at Perne near Uppinangady  has risen to nine, with one more injured succumbing to injuries in the hospital on April 12, Friday.

 

Vimala (38), an anganavadi teacher, who was seriously injured in the mishap and was admitted to the  Fr Muller Hospital, breathed her last after battling for life for two days.

 Those killed in the mishap are  Guruvappa (30), a tailor Sunil (16), Vanitha (38), her son Sitesh (5), Khateejamma and Cheluvarasan(35) the tanker driver.
