Kundapur: Woman blames brother for mother’s death; case filed

Kundapur, Sept 25, 2022: A woman has lodged a police complaint blaming her brother for their mother’s death. In her complaint Srimathi Naika (30), daughter of deceased Parvathi Naika (47) has alleged that her brother Krishna Naika, a resident of Kasadi Karimane in Halady village beat up Parvathi to death.

The deceased Parvathi Naika (47) had initially been admitted to Kundapura hospital for treatment and was later shifted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru where she died on September 22.

Srimathi claimed that on September 18, Krishna hit their mother but later filed a report stating that she was inebriated and hurt herself after she slipped and fell on a grinding stone.

Shankaranarayana Police are probing the case.
