Kundapur : Rivalry leads to attack on newly married man

Kundapur, Sep 3, 2013 : A   newly married man was   grievously attacked by a group of assailants  near the fish market in the town on September 2, Monday night.

 

The incident took place when Jayachandra (34) was  passing that way in his bike at around 10 pm. It is learnt, the  assailants who arrived by a white Maruti 800 intercepted his bike and   inflicted him with severe injuries on his legs and hands. Jayachandra  was  residing in a rented house on the Fish Market road since three months.

A previous  enmity is suspected to be the cause of the attack.  Police said a rivalry between Jayachandra and one Rohan over some issue was  the reason for the attack. Rohan, a notorious criminal of the area is also facing charges of creating a ruckus in a hotel in the town recently.

Kundapur police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the assailants.
