Kundapur: Miscreants set fire to car parked near mosque

Kundapur, Oct 6, 2025: A car parked by the roadside near Noorani Mosque in Kavradi was set ablaze by miscreants early Saturday morning.

According to reports, Sheikh Mohammad Gaus of Kavradi village and his family had left for a trip to Hyderabad on October 1. About ten days before their trip, they had purchased a Swift car worth ₹5 lakh. However, due to road issues near their house, they had parked the car by the roadside opposite the Noorani Mosque in Kavradi.

Around 5 a.m. on October 4, Mohammad Gaus’s brother, Sheikh Ansar Saheb, noticed the incident while heading out for morning prayers. It is alleged that the miscreants set the vehicle on fire with the intent to cause financial loss to Gaus and his family.

A case has been registered at the Kundapur Rural Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
