Kundapur: Man, son jump into well, wife rescued

Kundapur, May 15, 2025: In a suspected suicide attempt, a man and his son jumped into the well, while the wife of the man who too jumped into the well, has been rescued by locals  at Thekkatte on Thursday. It is learnt the family was reeling under debt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The deceased are Madhava Devadiga (55) and his son Prasad Devadiga (22). Madhav’s wife Tara has been rescued.

The family resided in a rented accommodation near Thekkatte fish market. Both father and son worked in a petrol bunk while Tara worked in the Kumbhasi Durgaparameshwari temple as a cooking assistant.
