Kundapur : Man fatally knocked down by train at Kedur

Kundapur, Sep 16, 2013 :   In a tragic incident, a man  was found dead on the railway tracks at Kedur near Tekkatte on September 15, Sunday morning. It is suspected that he  was knocked down by a train while crossing the track.

 

The deceased is Suresh Shetty (36) of Kedur Badabettu. Shetty who hailed from Amparu was residing in his wife’s house  at Kedur and was a labourer. It is learnt, he had left home at around 8 pm on Saturday night but had not returned.

A case has been registered in Kota police station.

Meanwhile, locals  point out that three to four such tragedies have  taken place in the area  where several people have to cross the tracks daily to reach the nearby schools and other places. A demand is also heard to construct an over bridge here.
