Kundapur: Leopard rescued from well

Kundapur, June 10, 2023: A leopard which fell into a well on June 7, in its bid to search for food at Chittur Gram Panchayat limits was rescued by forest personnel in an operation that lasted for two days.

 

The leopard had fallen into the well near the house of Sheenappa Shetty on June 7 night. The next morning the  rescue operation had begun. The leopard remained in an enclave inside the huge well. Finally a cage was let down and it was ensured that the leopard entered the cage which was later lifted.

The leopard was later released in Mookambika forest area.
