Kundapur: Fishing boat capsizes; all 5 fishermen rescued

Kundapur, April 02, 2022: A fishing boat  capsized mid sea after getting caught in strong winds and giant tidal waves. All five fishermen in the boat have been rescued by fishermen from another boat.

 

The boat named Manal owned by Mohammad Haneef of Udyavar Sampigenagar  had   ventured into deep sea fishing from Malpe when  the fibre sheet  beneath the boat’s engine got ruptured late night on March 31. Fishermen from another boat Rajaraksha which was passing that way immediately swung into action to rescue the stranded fishermen.

The loss to the Manal fishing boat is estimated at Rs 45 lakhs.
