Kundapur: 8-year-old girl dies after snake bite in Shedimane village

Kundapur, Aug 5, 2025: An 8-year-old girl, Sannidhi, tragically died after a venomous snake bite in Shedimane village.

Sannidhi, the youngest and only daughter of Sridhar Madivala and Jyothi of Beppare Guddeyangadi, was a class 3 student at Mandi Moorukai Government Higher Primary School.

The incident occurred on August 3, when Sannidhi had gone to meet her father at the plantation during a school holiday. Before reaching him, she was bitten by a venomous snake. In pain, she rushed back home, after which her family took her to Hebri Government Hospital and later to Manipal Hospital for advanced treatment. Sadly, she did not survive.

Based on a complaint by her father, the Amasbail police have registered a case.
