Kumble: 2 groups of students clash over trivial issue; one arrested

Kasargod, June 21, 2025: A clash between two groups of students over a trivial issue has been reported from Kumble. Police have arrested one person in this case.

The clash occurred between two groups of students from tenth standard and plus two classes. An outside group too was said to be part of the clash.

Police have arrested Ismail Riyaz (20) in connection with the clash. Police have gathered information regarding 15 students and 10 outsiders who were part of the clash.

The incident took place on Kumble Market Road. Police were informed after local shopkeepers failed to control the clashing students. Police managed to disperse the clashing group.

A clash was reported between student groups in the town in an earlier instance too.
